FLOWERS ARE DOCUMENTS
ARRANGEMENT I & II
Exhibition design in collaboration with ar/ge kunst for “Flowers are Documents – Arrangement I and II” curated by Emanuele Guidi.
The exhibition gathers and juxtaposes the positions of various artists whose ongoing interest in the subject of flower arrangement opens out into investigations of several parallel fields of research.
The exhibition concept is based on the form of "step" as a complex and moving space that offers multiple points of support, and recalls, among others, some vessels designed by Ettore Sottsass Jr.
The choice of the supporting colours is based on the ceiling of Villa Tabarelli in Bolzano, a project by Carlo Scarpa and Sergio Los. Scarpa’s idea was inspired by the sun-to-sun movement - from dawn to dusk, from blue/ grey to pink - to the light that radiates in space.
The wall paints have been reproduced in collaboration with Enzo Parduzzi who, in 1969 worked with Gianni Tabarelli creating the tint.
